Just as handy as the box, but cheaper!
| 6 cups | flour |
| 4 tsp. | baking powder |
| 4 tsp. | salt |
| 8 cups | sugar |
| 1 (8oz) can | unsweetened cocoa powder (2 1/2 cups) |
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a wire whisk. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag. Makes 15 cups mix.
Brownies:
| 2 1/4 cup | Brownie mix |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 1/4 cup | oil |
| 2 | eggs--beaten |
| 1 tsp. | vanilla extract |
| 1/2 cup | nuts--optional |
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan. Beat wet ingredients with a whisk then add to the brownie mix. Stir with a spoon until smooth, don't beat it. Stir in nuts if desired. Pour into the prepared pan and bake 30 minutes or until edges separate from the sides of the pan. Serve with frosting if desired, or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
